East London Mosque to receive new roof

London, United Kingdom – A new mosque has been built at a mosque in East London’s Coronaville, sparking fears of a surge in anti-Islamic sentiment.

The Al-Muhajir mosque is located on the corner of St Pancras and Westminster Street, where the mosque had been demolished and converted into flats in 2017.

Its new roof, which replaces the old, has a black dome, a white interior and an open plan with a white and white stripe running along the outside of the dome.

“This mosque has not just been built, but has been renovated,” the building’s builder, the Al-Masri Mosque, told The Independent.

The mosque has also been renovated, with an open roof, a large Islamic rug and an illuminated cross painted on the side of the mosque.”

It is also a welcome addition to the community and we are proud to have it in our home.”

The mosque’s owners say it is a “big step forward” from the demolition of the old mosque.

“We have been building for 25 years, but the mosque was built on top of the existing building,” said a man who declined to give his name.

“The building was a very bad idea, the building was made from scrap, it was unsafe and there were so many people on the street, there was nothing for them to eat or sleep in.”

Mr Al-Muhammad said the mosque would now be a mosque with a wider role, with a more diverse congregation.

“When we moved into this new mosque, the people that had lived here before us came in and said, ‘we want to live here, we want to come in’, and it has meant that they are a part of our community,” he said.

The building is owned by the Muslim Council of London, which is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes Islamic practice and education.

“There are a lot of people that feel this mosque is a positive step forward,” Mr Al-Muslim said.

“I think it is something that the community wants.

I think the mosque is the beginning of a positive transformation of the neighbourhood.”

The new mosque is expected to open in 2019.
